Yes!
Today, emotional intelligence (EI) is more important than ever. The global changes we are experiencing in terms of disruptive change, sense of purpose, quality of life, engagement, inclusion etc. are challenging for many. Understanding how to navigate this new age and how to continue to grow professionally and personally requires a solid understanding of what is going on within you, and those around you. Learning to recognise and then manage those emotions is key to your success and wellbeing, well into the future.
Yes, in most cases it can!
if a person has the desire to learn and practice new ways, emotional intelligence can absolutely be developed and changed. Assertiveness, stress management, self-esteem, emotional management, happiness...all can see huge changes given the right knowledge and guidance.
Not always, no.
Emotional intelligence (EI) includes a number of areas - empathy, assertiveness, emotional management, stress management, self-esteem and more.
Certain areas, like assertiveness, can be observed in a person's behaviour - speaking up at meetings, speaking with clarity etc. However, self-esteem for example, which is a very influential area of EI, is often not easy to recognise at all. A person may behave confidently, but inside they are struggling with crippling self-doubt. Similarly, an introverted individual may be perceived as insecure, when in fact they simply have a quieter personality. Such misunderstandings can impact engagement and relationships and eventually impact performance.
The TEIQue assessment is one of the fastest ways to get a clear understanding of your own EI levels and decide on development.
In some ways, yes.
There are many forms of intelligence that contribute to success in life: IQ (crystallised intelligence), fluid intelligence, social intelligence, EI (emotional intelligence), and many more. Studies show, however, that when it comes to success in business, EI is actually more important than IQ. Lack of knowledge can often be resolved by learning and practice, but without the right attitude, confidence and discipline, we are unlikely to close a knowledge gap successfully.
EI is a component of personality and has a big impact on what we do with the knowledge and skills we have. Therefore, it is paramount to success and a far bigger cause for derailment than any lack in IQ.
This really depends on you.

This Masterclass was built as a one day event to allow attendees to step away from work fully, and immerse themselves in their own wellbeing for an entire day. It was designed as a mini-retreat filled with learning and practice to improve resilience and wellbeing. In most cases, this is how it is being booked.
However, in some instances, an organisation has struggled to organise cover for their participants and so the day was split over two sessions, one week apart. The impact on participants was still very positive.
No, not at all!
Our select group of trainers are highly experienced in corporate training AND they are emotional intelligence experts. This means they can present any business soft-skills content with knowledge and authority. What they also bring to the table, however, are exceptional abilities to manage a room, keep participants engaged, manage conflict and trust issues effectively on the spot and handle issues with empathy and diplomacy. Not every training provider brings this skillset to the training room. We do.
We bring exceptional levels of experience AND high emotional intelligence to your offsite.
Our facilitators know exactly how to keep the room inspired, build trust and connection quickly, and hold the space productively throughout the day/days. If you wish to strengthen trust and growth in your organisation and be able to move on from past challenges (interpersonal, change or other), honest conversations are key - and so is managing them constructively and empathetically. Facilitation at its best.
We have included price guides to offer transparency to our potential clients and give them an idea of costs without needing to call or email us. Some of our prices include 'from' since certain client requests would incur extra costs such as travel, accommodation, content creation, XL participant groups etc. In many cases, the prices are exactly what you see and no additions are needed.
Great question!
Some individuals will achieve significant financial success despite low emotional intelligence levels. At some point, however, their success will typically hit a ceiling and that's often what brings them to us. With low EI, success will often be plagued by self-doubt, frustration with others, high stress levels and even conduct issues.
Today, more than ever, employees are demanding emotionality from their leaders - empathy, respect, purpose, mission. If we ourselves struggle in these areas, it will be hard, if not impossible, to inspire others or understand what they need to remain engaged and highly productive.
High or low EI is not positive or negative. But developing EI is a skillset that is invaluable for living a happy and successful life at work and at home. You will not only achieve your goals more easily, but you will be far more empowered to enjoy the journey.
DISC is a psychometric tool that looks at behaviours. It is a powerful tool for team building, management, recruitment and leadership. However, if you wish to understand why a person behaves in a certain way, or why they don't, you need to dig a bit deeper into emotional intelligence to understand what is driving or hindering behaviours. These tools can work extremely well together.
